In his first year with AEDC, Preston and Governor Asa Hutchinson made business recruitment trips to Cuba, Japan, China, France, Germany, New York City, and Silicon Valley. The trips played an important role in helping more than 100 companies locate or expand operations in Arkansas, investing $2 billion and creating 6,000 new jobs.
The Morrilton Area Chamber of Commerce will host its 91st Annual Chamber Banquet and Awards Ceremony at Sacred Heart Catholic School gymnasium on Monday, November 5, 2018. Please note that we are starting 30 minutes earlier this year at 6:00 instead of 6:30 pm.
The evening of celebration will commence with Sacred Heart's homemade spaghetti dinner followed by a short program featuring our guest speaker, Mr. Michael Preston, Executive Director of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission. An awards ceremony will honor several distinguished citizens and community projects that have benefitted the Morrilton area throughout the past year. The surprise cover page for the Chamber's new Community Profile and Directory will be unveiled that evening and all attendees will receive a copy of the report.
